June 12th | Big Island Trail Maintenance  | Volunteer Work Party
Help keep the trails clear and open on Big (Boyd/Chiminis) Island. We’ll travel by boat to the Island, which is a great way to see this protected gem on Pigeon Lake. Be sure to pack a lunch and a swimsuit, there are several great picnic spots along the shore to take a well deserved break and go for a dip in the lake.
Join us Wednesday, June 12th @ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Big (Boyd/Chiminis) Island, The end of Bear Creek Road, Buckhorn, ON

October 12th | Battle of the Buckthorn | Volunteer Work Party
We need all hands on deck to manage the invasive Buckthorn shrub on Big Island to keep the biodiversity high and keep it from invading the open grassland at the centre of the island.
When:  Saturday, October 12th @ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

October 18th | Battle of the Buckthorn Part II | Volunteer Work Party
Day two for the removal of the invasive European Buckthorn shrub on Big Island. Help us finish cutting down this pesky invader while enjoying the island in its autumn beauty.
When:  Friday, October 18th @ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
