Great turnout for NPLRA’s AGM

There was a great turn out of close to 100 people at the recent AGM for North Pigeon Lake Ratepayers Association at the Lawn Bowling club. The Blue Canoe display was present as well as informative presentations from FOCA and Professor, Archeologist James Conolly from Trent University took place.   His presentation on the history of the Trent Severn included archeology finds on Jacob Island and Boyd Island which provided great insight to the rich history of our area. Highlights from various project developments in the area such as the Nogies Creek Waterway project, Pigeon Lake Management project and the saving and naturalization of Boyd Island stirred a lot of interest from the attendees.  Buzzing conversation continued into the Barbeque lunch.

Memberships can still be taken out or renewed from any board member or printed from the site at www.nplra.ca
